As the name „FAIRicidad“ suggests Fairness is the basis and the basic idea for our brand. Fairness and dealing fairly is not limited to business life but should be part of our everyday life not only towards other fellow human beings but also towards our environment. Through our conceptProduction on request “ and the selection of quality goods (which are carefully selected) we are going this way and are convinced that this is definitely a step in the right direction. Read on to see for yourself.

By the way, the second part of our brand "Fairicidad" comes from the Spanish „Felicidad “ what happiness and joy means and we are convinced, where FAIRNESS is, HAPPINESS cannot be far away!

Production on demand

It's no secret that the fashion industry has a serious sustainability problem.

We all know the big fashion companies that launch thousands of new items every week, thereby further fueling the growing problem of overproduction.

To illustrate the extent: an estimated 21% of textiles produced remain unsold and probably end up in a landfill without being worn even once. Every purchase, big or small, has a footprint. With every purchase you also have a choice. You decide how big the footprint you leave on our planet.

It is our goal, through production on demand, as well as the possibility for customers to personalize their products themselves, first, to enable a less wasteful way of production and furthermore to give the feeling of holding "your own product" in your hand.

When you choose to make-to-order, you choose clothes that are made when you place your order and this results in less fabric waste than traditional manufacturing. So it makes much more sense to only manufacture products when they are needed.

After ordering, each item is explicitly personalized and manufactured for the customer and according to his wishes. So there is no surplus stock that would end up in landfill.

The entire process (from evaluating the suppliers and the printing techniques to the processing) is also constantly and carefully controlled. With it sustainability is very important for us and also for our planet.

This also guarantees high and reliable quality when selecting high-quality materials and printing inks.

Reliable quality

The better the quality, the longer the product will last. That's why ongoing durability, wash and wear tests are performed on our products to ensure they stand the test of time. Producing durable products means reducing new purchases.

We work with suppliers who produce high quality products that will stand up to many washes while keeping the print colors vibrant and the fabric soft. We select our products and fabrics from ethical brands and suppliers that adhere to labor, environmental and safety standards.

In order to make product sourcing more transparent, each product in our catalog has a tab that shows the origin of the goods as well as further information about the manufacturer and the country of origin of each item.

Eco-Friendly Products & Efficient Printing

We already offer eco-friendly products (among others from Stanley/Stella,  B&C Collection und Econscious ) and over time, more eco-friendly products will be added. Some of our custom printable fabrics are also made from over 80% recycled polyester.

A large proportion of our products are printed using the Direct-to-Garment (DTG) technique. With DTG, the ink is sprayed onto the garment, which allows it to penetrate the fabric better and makes the print less prone to fading.

Kornit and NeoPigment water-based inks that are Oeko-Tex™ certified are used for DTG products. This ensures the use for children's clothing and thus also reduces environmental waste. These inks offer a high AATCC Level 4 for wash and color fastness.

For sublimation products (is a printing process to transfer motifs onto various materials using a carrier material), Mimaki Dye Sublimation Ink Sb411 and Sawgrass SubliJet HD ink are used. Both of these inks are Oeko-Tex™ certified.

Mimaki UV Inkjet Ink Lus 120 is used for mobile phone cases. This ink is GREENGUARD Gold certified and thus it meets the requirements of the gold certificate for building materials, finishes and furnishings.

Epson UltraChrome GS3 ink is used for posters. This ink is also GREENGUARD Gold certified.

Sawgrass SubliJet HD ink is used for non-apparel products such as mugs and EPSON SC80610/80600 ink is used for some selected non-apparel products such as stickers and canvas.

Waste Reduction & Efficient Shipping

We use post-consumer recycled plastic packaging for all apparel orders. The use of packaging has also been reduced overall. For example, triangular parcel boxes for poster orders have been introduced, replacing tubes with plastic caps.

Whenever possible, damaged and returned products are also donated to local charities such as the Red Cross. In addition, our production facilities in the same region of the customer enable faster shipping times and lower shipping costs. This in turn helps to reduce the CO₂ emissions caused by the transport of orders.

Reducing fashion waste will be an ongoing process, for both manufacturers and consumers. But one thing is for sure, choosing products that are made on demand is a decision that helps our planet.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Our suppliers and producers have established their own code of conduct guidelines to ensure an ethical supply chain. In short, these values aim to improve sustainability of production, support employees and communities, combat climate change and ensure ethical labor standards.
